Interstellar Architecture
The last couple of weeks has been all hands on deck after leaping back onto the 'Space' job. And after rolling our universe up in bubble wrap, slinging the asteroids in a box and relocating to a bigger studio, work has FINALLY begun on the construction of the cockpit!
The set is entirely made up of cardboard and plastic lids, with a supporting timber structure behind to create the free standing flats. Simple enough really, and as Iriini would say 'not rocket science.' Except that it actually IS! Anyway enough of these poor interstellar puns, here are some quick snaps of the progress, lighting tests and our fabulous ghetto gold Captain's chair. Its out of this world. (I'm stopping now...)
