I've became reacquainted with plaster of Paris today. Relatively painless. And still the quickest and easiest way to create a mini universe. Here are some snaps of a quick planet experiment tried out today; testing textures and weight for the planets to suspend (with the help of some subtle mono filament) in the 'space set.'

This is a quick cardboard mock-up to work out the design for a life size space-ship cockpit made from... yes. Cardboard. Tricky as it must be transportable, collapsable and fully functional as a film set.
